Rare Earth was signed with Motown in 1969, and were one of the hottest acts in the land. During the Motown years they released 8 albums (5 studio, 2 live, and 1 movie soundtrack), as well as charting 5 hit singles: “Get Ready,” “I Just Want to Celebrate,” “Born to Wander,” “I’m Losing You,” and “Hey Big Brother” garnering them several gold, platinum and double platinum album awards. Rare Earth went on to release several more albums over the years and play to sold out crowds everywhere. Their music has been used in countless movies, TV ads, and video games. This band carries on Gil Bridge’s legacy and celebrates the great rock music that remains ingrained in our heads today! Their song “I Just Want to Celebrate” kicked off the 2023 Grammy Awards.
